About the job

For this job you will need extensive knowledge of sneakers and upcoming releases. You will be representing Patta in the Amsterdam store and assist and advice customers on their purchases. With the Store Sales Team, you will be responsible for the look and feel of the store and you will need to keep it clean and presentable at all times. The store atmosphere is very relaxed, but this position also requires hard work.

What You'll be doing

  • Assisting customers

  • Keeping the store and stockroom tidy  

  • Advising customers with products

About you

  • Positive Attitude

  • You will have to be able to live and work in the Netherlands

  • In-depth knowledge of Streetwear and Sneaker CultureCreative Thinker

  • Pro-Active and Entrepreneurial; able to work independently and structured

  • Fluent in English

  • Minimum 1-2 yrs experience in a sales function is a plus

  • Eye for detail, knowledge of VM is a plus

  • Strong Commercial and Communication Skills

  • Able to represent the Patta Brand

Patta was founded by Edson Sabajo and Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt. Both were instrumental in the Dutch hip-hop and nightlife community in the 90’s and early 2000’s - Edson as a DJ and Gee as an MC and event host. The music minded pair also had a shared obsession with hunting internationally for sneakers and records. They soon found themselves funneling a steady supply of gear from their travels, back home to their community in Amsterdam, which grew naturally into a business partnership. Before they knew it, the demand started growing, and a cult favorite brand was born. Today, Patta is one of few internationally revered, black-owned streetwear brands and consists of a clothing line, Patta Soundsystem, Patta Running Team and, most recently, the Patta Foundation focusing on youth cultural education. The brand is named after a slang term for “shoe” - a nod to the founders’ Surinamese heritage. A creative family to the core, Patta encourages inspiring collaborations, cultural crossover, and unconventional forms.
